Staff during camp

Volunteers, supervisors and specialists

Please carefully read through the staff document  before applying as a staff member. Application for staff is open until 15 April 2024.

Staff are divided into four different categories: volunteers, full time staff, supervisors and specialists. Volunteer positions are unpaid and less hours. Most positions at the event will be volunteer positions - please see the table below for a general overview of what it means to be a volunteer at camp. Full time staff positions are also available, that means you will work in positions like a volunteer but with more hours and you get paid. Supervisor/specialist positions are paid and come with extended responsibilities and often with additional leadership demands. The expectations for supervisor and specialist positions will vary, and the positions will be appointed directly by our staff coordinators.

Set-up and Crash-down positions
These two weeks take place before and after the actual camp and are completely different from any of the other weeks. The first one deals with construction and the second one with deconstruction: tents, floors, beds and all that remaining jazz. Work days are often long and physical – lifting, moving, cleaning and being outside in the rain. It’s correct to say that those two weeks demand a special kind of perseverance and attitude to make it happen, they are not for the faint hearted.

At the same time, both of these weeks are known for a great team spirit and are the favourite weeks among many of the staff members. Might not be the lightest weeks, but it's beautiful teamwork and you will make lifelong friends! This year, we will offer a payment of SEK 4000 for each of these weeks. However, for crash down, we really need you to stay the entire work week until Saturday.
