Since May 25 2018, a new EU regulation has been applied throughout the EU. It is called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and applies to all companies and organizations that process personal data. The purpose of GDPR is to strengthen personal privacy and the right to protect personal data. Personal information is information that can be linked to you as a person: images, address, telephone number, etc. At Herräng Dance Camp, we value transparency and it is important that you know how we handle your personal data.

By submitting personal data to www.herrang.com, each and every applicant automatically accepts that Herräng Dance Camp registers and stores all of your personal data for the specific purposes outlined below in this Privacy Policy document.

Data processing

  • When registering on our website for any of our programmes, we need to collect some basic data including name, address, email address, phone number and date of birth. This information will not be shared with any external parties, and it will only be used to complete the registration process and to keep mutual and necessary communication active and possible. For Swedish citizens, your personal number will also be collected and exclusively used for helping Herräng Dance Camp apply for grants and funds.
  • The camp administration may gather certain usage information from herrang.com, like the numbers and frequency of visitors to our website. This data is only used on the aggregate and does not include any personally identifying information.
  • Herräng Dance Camp will at your request or on our own initiative replenish, rectify or erase any incomplete, inaccurate or outdated personal data linked to your person. You are entitled to, in accordance with applicable law, request access to rectify or erase your personal data or impose restrictions on processing anything concerning you and your person. HDC will normally answer your request within one month from the date of receiving your request, please contact us at info@herrang.com.
  • Personal information collected by us will be stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public.
  • Herräng Dance Camp does not share your data with any third parties without your additional consent, if not required under applicable law to fulfill legal obligations.
  • If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post any amendments on this page so that anyone always is aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it to other companies.
  • If a dispute originates from this website and/or the camp, the Swedish law will be applicable, and all matters will exclusively be treated in Swedish court.

Cookies

  • Herräng Dance Camp uses an underlying technology nicknamed "cookies". "Cookies" are pieces of information that a website transfers to any computer's hard drive for recordkeeping purposes. The process gives us information on how and when our webpages are visited and by how many people. "Cookies" do not collect any personally identifying information, although they do identify an individual user's computer. This information is however not to be combined with any other general nor specific personal information in order to detect any user's identity, screen number nor email address. Most webbrowsers automatically accept "cookies", but it's usually possible to change your system to prevent this.
  • The main purpose of Herräng Dance Company’s use of cookies is to improve the service, to analyze users and user behaviors anonymously to find out which parts of the service that we should improve, and to remember the settings and choices that you make on our website.

While at camp

  • By registering, working, volunteering or participating in the event, you grant permission for Herräng Dance Camp to use photographs and/or videos of you taken at the event in publications, news releases, social media, online and in other communications related to the mission of Herräng Dance Camp. If you see a picture or video featuring you that you would like us to delete, please reach out to media@herrang.com and the published content will be unpublished and also removed from our archives.
