The set-up work for the summer that we have in front of us is in full swing. Many volunteers have arrived and the work so far is according to schedule. More people than ever seen to plan to come to Herräng this summer and especially week 4 seems to be in demand. In some of the classes we are a little short of leaders so if you havent signed up yet and are a leader, please feel extra welcome to the following: Boogie Woogie Beginners-BeginnersIntermediate (week 1), African-Cuban Beginners-BeginnersIntermediate (week 3), Lindy Hop BeginnersIntermediate (week 4), Lindy Hop BeginnersIntermediate (week 5), Lindy Hop Intermediate (week 5), Lindy Hop IntermediateAdvanced (week 5) and finally all of the weekend classes in Lindy Hop. A few changes in the list of teaching instructors have been made recently: Jessica Lennartsson Dan Guest are added to the lindy program for week 3, Åsa Palm Daniel Heedman and Ramona Staffeld Peter Strom are both moved from week 5 to week 4. The camp has bought a little bit more than 100 metal lockers that will be available for students to borrow. If you think that you want to make use of one of them, please bring a medium size padlock if you dont have one they will be for sale in the Lindy Hop Shop. The availability of the lockers are on a first come first served basis. If you have signed up for the camp but will be unable to make it, please do not forget to let us know. Every year many dancers are in our lists but not on the floor and no doubt this creates a lot of administrational problems. So if, please
With a reference to a handful of previous newsletters: the kids corner idea will take place as planned and described but please notice that during week 5 we will give an extra focus on kids from around the age of seven and up. No exact details are at hand but will be given later on. If you are planning to come for a weekend course and are interested in private housing, if possible please call our reception in Herräng (+46 (0)175-13281) a few days ahead of your arrival and let them know your details and requests. We have a feeling that our supply of mattresses for week 4 might be enough. If its not much of a problem for you, please bring a private mattress if you are planning to visit the camp for this week.
